Founded by Ottavio (Tai) and Rosita Missoni in 1953, the knitwear brand began life producing wool tracksuits, sponsoring the 1948 Italian Olympic team. They presented their first fashion range in 1958, and soon had fans in famed editors Anna Piaggi and Diana Vreeland. Daughter Angela was handed the fashion reigns in 1998, enabling Tai and Rosita to work on other projects.
